ANNUAL ARMY ALLIANCE LUNCHEON TO BE HELD MARCH 11, 2020

The Army Alliance Annual Luncheon will be held March 11, 2020, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at The Bayou Restaurant, 927 Pulaski Highway (Route 40), Havre de Grace, MD, 21078. The theme is "The Testing and Evaluation Mission at Aberdeen Proving Ground."  Featured speakers are Mr. Christopher Barrett, SES, Executive Director of the Army Evaluation Center, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command and COL John Hall, Commander of the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command.  REGISTER HERE by March 4, 2020.

ANNUAL ARMY ALLIANCE BREAKFAST HELD NOVEMBER 14, 2019

The Army Alliance Annual Breakfast was held on November 14th at the Richlin Ballroom, Edgewood.  Our panel, led by Lisa Swoboda (MD Dept of Commerce, Director of Military and Federal Affairs), addressed the "Economics of a Defense Community".  Attendees learned just how APG impacts our state and local economies.  Our other panelists included Martha Mitchem, Deputy to the Executive Director, Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground; Christopher Moyer, Director of Economic Development, Cecil County; Karen Holt, Federal Installation Administrator, Harford County Office of Community and Economic Development; and Patrick Mullin, Executive Committee, Industrial Representatives Association.  CLICK HERE to view speaker key points.

CHESAPEAKE SCIENCE & SECURITY CORRIDOR NAMED 2018 'GREAT AMERICAN DEFENSE COMMUNITY'

The Chesapeake Science & Security Corridor (CSSC) is one of five communities across the country named to the 2018 class of Great American Defense Communities.  The Great American Defense Communities, recognizes military communities and regions that help improve the quality of life for service members and military families. Communities are chosen through a competitive nomination process based on community building and integration, support and collaboration, educational and employment opportunities, and family support.
